The heat of elections is slowly transferring itself to Andhra Pradesh. The Telugu state is getting ready for its elections in the coming June. All the major parties existent in Andhra Pradesh, TDP, YSRCP, Congress, and Janasena are trying their best to woo the voters with their promises.
Chandra Babu Naidu, leader of TDP and current CM of Andhra Pradesh has recently started fighting for Special Status for Andhra Pradesh. The man even attended the Union interim budget session wearing a black shirt instead of his usual Cream-colored shirt. Many promises like increasing the pensions for old people, waiving farmers loans, etc., have also been announced by the TDP party as a part of their campaigning.
On the other hand, YS Jagan, leader of YSRCP (Yuvajana Rythu Samaikhya Congress Party) started his campaigning long ago. He had traveled over 3000 km all over Andhra Pradesh in the last 13 months and had covered more than 130 constituencies. His party had a slogan called Raavali Jagan (meaning Jagan must come) and had acquired significant popularity over the last few months.
Actor Pawan Kalyan also had announced that he is going to contest in 2019 Elections. The actor owns a huge fan following among the Telugu youth and has acquired certain popularity among the young adults of North Andhra. Though there is a significant chance that he might not be the next CM of Andhra Pradesh, it is being predicted that he can be a kingmaker with the seats he wins in the next elections.
Congress in the expectation of coming back had also made some promises in its manifesto like loan waivers for self-help women, GST exemptions and loan waivers for weavers, free LPG cylinders for BPL families, the revival of Rajiv Arogya Sri, etc.
Andhra Pradesh elections 2019 will be held in April/ May and contrary to the previous elections, the prediction of the next winning party is going to be tough and highly inaccurate.
