India had its fair share of loss with the deaths of people like Atal Bihari Vajpayee, Sushma Swaraj, Ananth Kumar, Arun Jaitley, M Karunanidhi, Sri Devi, etc. The notable element in this is that four among these notable personalities are most revered and loved BJP Leaders. Atal Bihari Vajpayee
Atal Bihari Vajpayee is one of the most influential Prime Ministers of India who had made his mark as a leader. During his term, Nuclear Tests in Pokhran were conducted despite international criticism and India made its way into the group of countries with Weaponized Nuclear Power. He initiated a new peace process with Pakistan on the issue of Kashmir. His defiant stand in the Kargil War against Pakistan was one of the most appreciated moves from an Indian Prime Minister. India experienced an economic growth like never during Vajpayee’s term of 1998 to 2004. With his economic reforms, the urban middle class saw tremendous growth.
Mr. Atal Bihari Vajpayee died on 16th August 2018 which left the entire populace of India in grief.
Arun Jaitley is another great leader from BJP who had died recently. The man had served the nation in various political roles over the years and had earned reverence of the entire country. Arun Jaitley served as a Member of Parliament, Minister of Finance, Defence, Corporate Affairs Commerce and Industry, and Law and Justice. He was also a senior Advocate in the Supreme Court of India. Arun Jaitley is one of the most revered leaders of our time and his death on 24th August 2019 was a blow to the entire nation.
Another most influential leaders of our time, Sushma Swaraj was named “India’s best-loved politician” by the Wall Street Journal of the US. Sushma Swaraj was a Supreme Court Lawyer. She was the second woman to hold the position of Minister of External Affairs. She was the youngest Cabinet minister and served as the minister of Information and Broadcasting and Health. She was elected as Member of Parliament seven times and served as Member of Legislative Assembly three times. Sushma Swaraj’s service as Minster of External affairs was well noted and was revered by the entire country. Her untimely demise on 6th August 2019 left the nation in grief.
Hegannahalli Narayana Shastry Ananth
Served as Member of Parliament, Minister of Civil Aviation, Chemical Fertilizers, and Parliamentary Affairs, Ananth Kumar as he was known to everyone was from Bengaluru. The man was well noted for his Service as the Minister of Chemicals and Fertilizers. He began various initiatives like 100% neem coating of Urea, reduction of prices of Knee Implants, upscaling of Jan Aushadi Kendras (government centers in which medicines are sold at a much lower price than the market price), the introduction of biodegradable and environment-friendly sanitary pads, etc. Ananth Kumar was a revered politician and he had a reputation to have not facing any electoral defeat in any of the elections he contested. His demise happened on 12th November 2018 while he was still serving as the Union Minister of Chemicals and Fertilizers and Minister of Parliamentary Affairs.
