As Telangana Elections are closing in, Congress listed out 40 candidates to contest for Telangana region. The list includes prominent personalities of Telangana Congress like TCC Chief Uttamkumar Reddy, Konda Surekha, Revant Reddy, etc. Most of the names on this list are the sitting MLAs of Congress.
Congress is the principal opposition in Telangana and is significantly prominent in some regions. Though its influence has lowered over the past few years, the party is tenaciously trying to make amends and grow stronger with this year’s elections.
While KCR was way ahead with the planning, dissolved the assembly, requested for early elections, and released a list soon after, Congress was a little late to the party. The party took its time and announced the candidates recently, choosing the candidates in accordance with the oppositions Candidates.
