Four Tollywood actors have now joined YSR Congress Party for the AP elections scheduled to take place on April 11 in Andhra Pradesh.
Actor Krishnudu, comedian Ali, Jayasudha and NTR aide Mohan Babu joined the party in Andhra Pradesh in support of the candidature of YSR Congress Party leader S. Jagan Mohan Reddy to be the next AP Chief Minister.
The election will take place alongside India General Elections where the current Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu of Telugu Desam Party will be defending his position against Pawan Kalyan of Jana Sena Party and S. Jagan Mohan Reddy of YSRCP.
Mohan Babu who joined YSR Congress Party in Andhra Pradesh on Tuesday said that he was not joining the party for any post or power. He also added that Jagan will do well for the people and expressed his confidence in Jagan’s victory for the Chief Minister of state post.
Speaking to the media after joining the party, actor Krishnudu said that he was motivated by the mass following of YSRCP and the aims of Jagan’s padayatra. He also offered to do his best to contribute towards the victory of YSRCP in the April 11 election.
Besides, Jayasudha said that she does not currently have any interest in vying for any post in the election, but she would follow all the orders of YSR Congress Party Leadership.
After meeting YSRCP party leader on Monday in Hyderabad, Ali spoke to the media and said that he would work for the party and campaign in the elections to give it a victory. He also added that people of Andhra wants YS Jagan as the Chief Minister and that he would contest for Vijayawada or Rajahmundry if given ticket party.
Among the four Tollywood actors who joined the YSR Congress Party, some have been politically active while some have not been in the political limelight.
