Telangana’s Chief Minister KCR initiated the formation of Federal front to deal with the Central Government as a united front. For this, he had met Odisha’s CM Naveen Patnaik, West Bengal’s CM Mamata Banerjee, and DMK leader M K Stalin in the recent past. Now Andhra Pradesh’s opposition leader YS Jagan too is joining this movement to bring a solution to the special status problem of Andhra Pradesh with the help of TRS’s help.
The meeting was held yesterday at Lotus Pond where KTR, working President of TRS had met YS Jagan and discussed some of the elements of forming a federal front. YS Jagan informed the media that he had talked to KCR on the phone and discussed the possible future plans. He was appreciative of KCR’s initiative of forming a Federal front and disclosed that a united front of all the regional parties would bring more focus to the states that have been in hindsight in the Central government’s eye.
While this will be helpful in the long run, this move might have an enormous effect in the upcoming Andhra Pradesh Elections 2019. YS Jagan headed YSRCP party is the principal opposition in Andhra Pradesh which is expected to compete ahead to head with the current party in lead TDP. The formation of a federal front is a great idea from KCR, using this to gain special status to Andhra Pradesh is something that Andhra People can look forward to. And since the present government is unable to successfully gain the special status, this move might help Jagan to secure a significant number of seats in the Elections 2019.
